Invitation to International Congress

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
Dear Colleagues,
We would like to invite you to the International Congress: Quo Vadis, Legal Translation? that will be held at the Faculty of Art of the Comenius University in Bratislava and is scheduled for 1st – 2nd June 2017.
The main aim of the Congress is a presentation of the recent research results in the field of legal translation and to provide the space for translators, linguists and other experts by means of the new scientific platform where they can exchange their views and discuss the results of their research. The Congress is organised by the Faculty of Arts of Comenius-University and the Faculty of Arts of Matej-Bel-University. This scientific event is further focused on presentation of the results of research activities in the field of Theory of Legal Translation that were achieved in the project “From Conventions to Norms of Translation in the Legal Discourse” („Od konvencií k normám prekladu v právnom diskurze“, APVV nr. 0226-12) funded by the Slovak Research and Development Agency.

If you are interested in the presentation of your paper at the Congress, please fill in the Registration form at www.fphil.uniba.sk/kongrestransius. You can include your abstract in the registration form (max. 900 characters). The proposals in German, English, Slovak and Czech language are welcomed. Presenting participants are obliged to fill in the Registration form. The language of your presentation has to correspond to the language of your abstract. The authors will be notified about the acceptance of their proposals by the end of April 2017.
Non-presenting participants are obliged to fill in the registration form by 15th May 2017.
The fee is 35€ (if paid by the end of March 2017), students of Bachelor and Master Programmes of the Faculty of Arts of Comenius University are not obliged to pay the fee, fee for PhD. students is 20€.
The congress fee processed in the period from 1st April to 15th May is 50€, students of Bachelor and Master Programmes of the Faculty of Arts of Comenius University are not obliged to pay the fee, fee for PhD. students is 30€.
The Congress participation is accepted after the Congress fee is paid (please visit the Congress website for the Account Number). The congress fee is not refundable.
